A mission trip is planned for Sierra Leone in January 2012. The principal objective is participation in the first year celebration of the passing away of Mrs. Phebean Parker, a veteran of the FSSG ex-Pupils Association New York Metropolitan Area. She was also a long term and active member of the United Methodist Church of Hempstead (UMCH). The mission will seize the opportunity to visit the Freetown Secondary School for Girls with a view to making a contribution to the rehabilitation of the school. The members of the mission will consist of Mr. Claude Gooding, the Chairperson of the Mission Trip, approximately 15 members of the church and members of the Association.

The Association held its 25th Annual Thanksgiving Service on April 28, 2013 at the United Methodist Church of Hempstead. 118 people were in attendance. This is one of the Association's annual fundraising events during which time thanks and praise are given to God for His numerous blessings and love.
